About Science Research

Science Research allows you to search the best scientific information from across the Internet all from one search.

Coming Soon to ScienceResearch.com™

The next generation of ScienceResearch.com™, scheduled to be released by the end of 2005, will have Alert and Personal Library capabilities. A nominal monthly or yearly fee will be charged for these services.

Powered by DWT's proprietary Distributed Explorit Alerts, this "information push" application is highly customizable and can be configured to handle a wide variety of types and sources. Moreover, the frequency w ith which the Alerts notify users of new information can be configured based on the relative urgency of information, as well as, the timing of changes and additions to the designated sources. The results are delivered to a designated personal email.

Personal Library allows users to index and organize the documents retrieved into public folders searchable by other ScienceResearch.com users in their community of users. Private folders are also available, blocking other users from accessing or searching the designated folders.

About ScienceResearch.com™

ScienceResearch.com is a free, publicly available Internet web portal allowing access to numerous scientific journals and public science databases. The Beta version was launched on June 6, 2005.

ScienceResearch.com allows students, teachers, professors, researchers, and the general public to access pertinent science-related information, quickly, easily, and with confidence from both public and private high quality research journals and databases via a single portal. Depending on the source, full text documents may be available. In the event full text is not available, the results pull up an abstract of the article and a link to the source.

Powered by DWT's proprietary Distributed Explorit™ deep web search engine, a single query will search thousands of high quality journals and databases, effectively millions of documents, in real-time. It permits direct access to information sources on the web utilizing a federated or meta-search approach.

Powered by DWT's proprietary Quickrank™ technology, the results are conveniently ranked by relevance on a single results page. Quickrank filtering and ranking is based on the placement of key words in the metadata of a document within a source such as a publication in a journal. A system of 1 to 4 stars is used to indicate which documents have greater importance to the topic being searched.

For example, the United States government portal, Science.gov (www.science.gov), is powered by Distributed Explorit and Quickrank. Science.gov is a gateway to authoritative selected science information provided by the U.S. Government agencies, including research and development results.
